Hello I’m Steph, chief baker, cake decorator, admin, cleaner & delivery driver. I eat, sleep and breathe cakes and I absolutely love my job, despite all the stress and long hours.
My journey began in 2011 when I took a cake decorating class at Paul Bradfords Sugarcraft School. After a few years working full time, I realised I wanted to do this as a career, so off to college I went, where I studied Bakery for 2 years at the City of Glasgow College. After graduating, I worked as a Baker in high volume bakeries and then as a Cake Decorator in bespoke cake shops to gain experience, before setting up the business in 2018. Initially working from home, I soon outgrew the space and in 2019 I opened the shop in Bathgate following a total renovation from top to bottom.

I specialise in creating bespoke fondant wedding cakes & sugar flowers. I love a bit of colour too! I’m passionate about quality over quantity, which is reflected in my flawless finishes and clean sharp lines. This is also why I only take on 2 wedding cakes per week, so your cake gets the full attention it deserves.
Here’s a few facts you might not know about me:
- I have a Forensics degree. Biology was my first love, and I’m still fascinated by all things true crime, especially serial killers
- I am flamingo obsessed!
- I hate spiders
- My husband proposed to me at the summit of Mt Fuji in Japan. This is when I fell in love with all things Japanese and the inspiration for the business name comes from here
- We have a French Bulldog who is spoilt rotten :)
